Today, Representative Salazar's legislation H.R. 6892 (https://www.congress.gov/bill/119th-congress/house-bill/6892/text?s=3&r=4&q=%7B%22search%22%3A%22Maria+Salazar%22%7D), the IDB Capital Increase Act, passed the House of Representatives as part of the House Appropriations Committee funding bill (H.R. 7006) (https://www.congress.gov/bill/119th-congress/house-bill/7006/text). The act would authorize the Secretary of the Treasury to purchase 75 million dollars in new shares of the Inter-American Investment Corporation (IDB invest).
