Washington, D.C. - Today, Congressman Chip Roy (TX-21) issued the following statement after voting for H. Con. Res. 113, the budget resolution required to unlock the reconciliation process.
"While far from perfect, I voted in favor of this budget resolution because it is an important step in getting my SAVE America Act passed by the Senate.
As the Senate takes up this legislation, there can be no compromise on election integrity. The full SAVE America Act must be included as a mandatory requirement for every state-not watered down into an optional policy incentivized through federal funding.
