REP. MAY: STATE AWARDS MITCHELL COMMUNITY SCHOOLS WITH IMPROVEMENT GRANT

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., Oct. 1 -- The Indiana House of Representatives' Republican Caucus issued the following news release:

STATEHOUSE (Oct. 1, 2026) - State Rep. Chris May (R-Bedford) today announced Mitchell Community Schools will receive $4.5 million as part of Indiana's Next Generation School Improvement Grant program.

Mitchell Community Schools will receive $500,000 as first-year planning funds, with $4 million committed over the following three years.

May said the competitive award reflects the district's commitment to finding new ways to support students and strengthen its schools.
