Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (WA-03) (http://gluesenkampperez.house.gov/) toured the Cowlitz County Jail, discussed the regulatory climate with a group of general contractors, and learned about beef processing during a busy week across the 3rd Congressional District.
"There are already so many challenges facing cattle farmers, Congress shouldn't create any extra burdens on this industry," said Gluesenkamp Perez. "The cattle inventory is low, drought and feed costs are high, and regulatory environments are constantly changing. I admire the work that Rainier Pure Beef is doing to put food on the table and bolster strong regional food systems."
