Congresswoman Laura Gillen (NY-04) released a statement ahead of President Trump's alleged deadline on negotiations to end the war in Iran:
"While joint US-Israel operations have degraded Iran's military capabilities, the President has yet to provide Congress or the American people with a plan to end this conflict, lower energy prices and bring peace to the region.
"Ahead of tonight's alleged deadline, I am deeply concerned by the President's reckless threat of major escalation with Iran, given the profound risks. This war has cost taxpayers billions of dollars every day as energy costs continue to rise, threatening to reach historic highs and crush fam...
