REP. BOEBERT: THERE IS ZERO TRUTH TO THESE HOUSE ETHICS COMMITTEE ALLEGATIONS

Washington, Sept. 20 -- Congresswoman Lauren Boebert issued the following press release:

A spokesperson for Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) said today there is zero truth to the allegations in a politically motivated September 17 filing to the House Ethics Committee. The Congresswoman rejects the claims as utterly false. Under House Committee on Ethics Rule 15, a complaint may not be filed within 60 days of an election in which the Member is a candidate. This filing was submitted inside that window. The Committee is required to return it. The same rule also provides that a submission from a non-Member is not a complaint unless a Member of the House certifies in writing that it was made in good faith and warrants the Committee's review.
