U.S. Senators Jack Reed and Sheldon Whitehouse, the top Democrat on the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, today announced $1,186,200 in federal funding to improve the resiliency of Rhode Island communities. The federal funding will help mitigate flooding in Johnston, restore dunes near Block Island's Town Beach, and reopen a fish migration passage and alleviate flooding along the Pawtuxet River.
