Today, Real Estate Caucus Co-Chairs, Congressmen Mark Alford (MO-04) and Tracey Mann (KS-01), as well as Republican Study Committee (RSC) Chairman August Pfluger (TX-11) led a letter to Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent. The lawmakers are urging the Trump Administration to use its existing authority to index capital gains taxes for inflation, which will address housing affordability concerns and expand homeownership by unlocking the existing housing supply, while also promoting long term investment in American communities.
