Today, U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), Ranking Member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, delivered opening remarks during a committee hearing to consider the nominations of Henry Wooster to be Ambassador to Kenya, Peter Lord to be Ambassador to Benin, Charles Goodman III to be Ambassador to Togo, Keith Heffern to be Ambassador to Gabon and Joshua Harris to be Ambassador to Malaysia. In her remarks, Ranking Member Shaheen drew attention to the panel of all career diplomats - the first nominations hearing to have only career diplomats since the start of the second Trump Administration.
