Congresswoman Mariannette Miller-Meeks (IA-01) joined President Donald Trump in the Oval Office (https://youtube.com/watch?si=N14IHJ5RGJfYAsBU&v=RFd8O_-tZ4k&feature=youtu.be) for the announcement of a historic $15 billion investment to build the largest steel plant in American history in Lee County, Iowa. The project is expected to create more than 1,700 permanent jobs paying over $49 an hour, along with 5,000 to 6,000 construction jobs.
Miller-Meeks has long worked help bring the project to fruition and has championed legislation to strengthen American manufacturing and prepare Iowa workers for the jobs it creates.
