WASHINGTON, April 24 -- Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration has issued a rule called: Pipeline Safety: Electronic Retention of Part 194 Response Plans.
The rule was published in the Federal Register on April 24 by Paul J. Roberti, Administrator.
Summary: This DFR will amend facility response plan regulations to allow operators of oil pipelines to keep electronic copies of onshore oil spill response plans or the "relevant portions" of those plans in lieu of paper copies.
