WASHINGTON, April 24 -- Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration has issued a proposed rule called: Pipeline Safety: Hazardous Liquid Valve Maintenance Schedule.

The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on April 24 by Paul J. Roberti, Administrator.

Summary: This NPRM proposes to allow operators of hazardous liquid and carbon dioxide pipelines to determine a valve inspection schedule with a maximum valve inspection interval of 1 year, not to exceed 15 months.
