NASHVILLE, Tenn., Oct. 3 -- The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued the following news release:
BLEDSOE COUNTY -A joint investigation by special agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Pikeville Police Department has resulted in the arrest of a Pikeville man in connection to a kidnapping and assault.
On Friday, at the request of 12th Judicial District Attorney General Courtney Lynch, TBI agents began investigating an alleged kidnapping and assault that occurred in the 100 block of Southgate Lane in Pikeville. Through the course of the investigation, agents collected evidence that Andy Bickford (DOB 2/9/1976) assaulted the victim and held her against her will for multiple days.
