Today, U.S. Senator Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) attended the grand opening of the Metro D line, which has expanded west from existing subway lines by nine miles helping riders with direct access to museums, jobs, healthcare, shopping, and neighborhood destinations along one of the region's busiest corridors. Schiff emphasized the metro extension will not only reduce travel time and strengthen connections between Los Angeles' most active and cultural centers but will create better transit experiences ahead of the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
