Today, U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.), a leader on the Senate Appropriations Committee, attended a ribbon cutting ceremony at the Westmoreland Fire Station in Huntington, W.Va. This fire station will serve the Westmoreland neighborhood and surrounding areas and will play a crucial role in the city's emergency response network. In Fiscal Year 2024 (FY24), Senator Capito was able to secure $4,165,000 in funding for the project, which was critical in helping address space for living for the firefighters and proper equipment storage.
