MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - Today, U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) traveled to Morgantown, W.Va. to attend an event focused on a recent Congressionally Directed Spending (CDS) award, as well as the investiture of President Michael T. Benson at West Virginia University (WVU).
First, Senator Capito attended an event to announce a nearly $5.5 million CDS award for Mon Health Medical Center that she secured in Fiscal Year 2026 (FY26). This funding will help improve critical infrastructure, including repairs to the roof, oiler, and overall building maintenance.
