KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. - Today, U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) made stops in Kanawha County celebrating Congressionally Directed Spending (CDS) projects that she helped secure.
First, Senator Capito traveled to Clendenin, W.Va. to attend the groundbreaking of the Leatherwood Water Extension alongside Kanawha County Commissioners and other local officials. In Fiscal Year 2022 (FY22), she helped secure a $5,230,000 CDS allocation to make vital upgrades to the city's infrastructure. Through this project, the water extension will expand services to residents, serving over 100 households and adding 23 fire hydrants with 6 miles of pipes.
