WASHINGTON, July 21 -- Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation has issued a proposed rule called: Penalties for Failure To Provide Certain Notices or Other Material Information.
The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on July 21 by Janet Dhillon, Director, Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation.
Summary: This proposed rule would provide the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation's policies for calculating, imposing, and waiving monetary penalties to pension plans for failure to provide certain required notices or other material information timely to PBGC and plan participants.
