WASHINGTON, D.C. - As Americans' approval of the Supreme Court nears ahistoric low,U.S. Senators Alex Padilla (D-Calif.), Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.), Cory Booker (D-N.J.), and Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.), members of the Senate Judiciary Committee, introduced the Supreme Court Biennial Appointments and Term Limits (BATL) Act to establish 18-year term limits and regularized appointments for Supreme Court justices.
