WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, U.S. Senators Alex Padilla and Adam Schiff (both D-Calif.) announced that 51 airports across California will receive nearly $109 million in Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) grants to modernize infrastructure, improve safety, and strengthen California's aviation system.
The grants from the FAA's Airport Improvement Program (AIP) will support projects including runway and taxiway rehabilitation, airport noise mitigation, terminal construction, safety improvements, passenger boarding bridges, lighting upgrades, and other critical airport infrastructure.
