CHARLESTON, W.Va. - Deon Dewayne Grundy, 29, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, was sentenced on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, to two years and nine months in prison, to be followed by four years of supervised release, for possession with intent to distribute 40 grams or more of fentanyl.

According to court documents and statements made in court, on September 3, 2025, law enforcement officers executed a search warrant at a Beckley residence where Grundy was living and seized 86 grams of fentanyl and $1,659.
