WASHINGTON, Dec. 23 -- Office of the Secretary has issued a rule called: Privacy Act of 1974.

The rule was published in the Federal Register on Dec. 23 by Roman Jankowki, Chief Privacy Officer, Department of Homeland Security.

Summary: The Department of Homeland Security (DHS or Department) is updating its regulations related to the procedures for submitting Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Privacy Act of 1974 requests to clarify that requesters must generally submit their Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests and Privacy Act requests electronically.
