WASHINGTON, July 22 -- Office Of Personnel Management has issued a proposed rule called: First Responder Fair RETIRE Act.

The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on July 22 by Jerson Matias, Federal Register Liaison.

Summary: The Office of Personnel Management proposes regulations to carry out provisions of the First Responder Fair Return for Employees on Their Initial Retirement Earned Act. The Act allows covered Federal first responders who experience a qualifying duty-related illness or injury to continue receiving Federal retirement benefits in the same manner as though they had not experienced the disability.
