WASHINGTON, April 6 -- Occupational Safety and Health Administration has issued a proposed rule called: Walking-Working Surfaces.
The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on April 6 by David Keeling, Assistant Secretary of Labor for Occupational Safety and Health.
Summary: This proposed rule removes a deadline in OSHA's Walking-Working Surfaces standard by which all fixed ladders that extend more than 24 feet above a lower level must be equipped with personal fall arrest systems or ladder safety systems.
