WASHINGTON, March 30 -- Nuclear Regulatory Commission has issued a rule called: Risk-Informed, Technology-Inclusive Regulatory Framework for Advanced Reactors.
The rule was published in the Federal Register on March 30 by Tomas Herrera, Acting Secretary of the Commission.
Summary: The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is amending its regulations by adding a risk-informed, performance-based, and technology-inclusive regulatory framework for commercial nuclear plants in response to the Nuclear Energy Innovation and Modernization Act (NEIMA).
