WASHINGTON, March 16 -- Nuclear Regulatory Commission has issued a notice called: TRISO-X, LLC; Special Nuclear Material License for the TRISO-X Fuel Fabrication Facility.
The notice was published in the Federal Register on March 16 by Tekia Govan, Acting Chief, Fuel Facility Licensing Branch, Division of Fuel Management, Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards.
Summary: The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has issued Special Nuclear Material (SNM) License No. SNM-7007 to TRISO-X, LLC (TRISO-X) to operate the TRISO-X Fuel Fabrication Facility as proposed in its license application and to possess and use SNM to manufacture high-assay low enriched uranium (HALEU) fuel in Oak Ridge, Roane County, Tennessee.
