NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION ISSUES NOTICE: ENFORCEMENT POLICY MATERIALS SECURITY VIOLATION EXAMPLES

WASHINGTON, Aug. 29 -- Nuclear Regulatory Commission has issued a notice called: Enforcement Policy Materials Security Violation Examples.

The notice was published in the Federal Register on Aug. 29 by Bo Pham, Acting Director, Office of Enforcement.

Summary: The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is proposing revisions to Section 6.12 of its Enforcement Policy (the Policy). The NRC is proposing to revise the examples provided in the Policy of violations of physical protection requirements for Category 1 and Category 2 quantities of radioactive material.
