U.S. Senators Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), Senators Andy Kim (D-N.J.), Cynthia Lummis (R-Wyo.), and John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) introduced the bipartisan Digital Age Assurance Act to protect children online by establishing a privacy-first, operating system-based age assurance framework that enables age-appropriate online experiences while minimizing the collection and sharing of sensitive personal information. The bill prioritizes protecting kids' privacy with a number of provisions preventing kids' data from being sold or transferred and banning targeted advertisement to children.
