Today, Senator Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) and Congressman Ted W. Lieu (D-Calif.-36) announced that they secured $1,145,144 in federal investments for Klondike Canyon's Landside Emergency Mitigation Plan, the project is part of nearly $259 million in funding secured by Schiff for California for fiscal year 2026.
This federal investment will be used to mitigate the impact of the Klondike Canyon Landslide - a significant segment of the larger Portuguese Bend Landslide Complex.
