WASHINGTON, Jan. 13 -- Sen. Jon Ossoff issued the following press release:

Georgians can expect to see the price of prescriptions coming down this year, thanks to a law championed by U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff that forced drug companies to negotiate lower prices with Medicare.

In 2022, Sen. Ossoff helped pass into law a bill that forced drug companies to negotiate lower prescription drug costs with Medicare, and lower costs for 10 drugs went into effect as of January 1, 2026.

According to a recent report (https://www.cnbc.com/2025/12/30/medicare-drug-price-negotiations-savings-2026.html) from CNBC, the lower costs may help seniors save over 50% on prescriptions in 2026. According to AARP (https://www.aarp.org/content/dam/aarp/ppi/topics/he...
