UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa - Native tree and shrub sale customers or anyone interested in learning proper tree-planting techniques for long-term success can attend a webinar hosted by the Penn State Extension Master Watershed Steward Program.

The "Proper Native Tree Planting for Long-Term Success" webinar will occur from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 2.

The long-term success of newly planted trees depends on more than proper planting techniques. Site selection and follow-up care play critical roles in establishing healthy, resilient trees and shrubs, according to organizers.
