The rule was published in the Federal Register on March 3 by Kevin J. Lilly, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary, Exercising the Delegated Authority of the Assistant Secretary for Fish and Wildlife and Parks.

Summary: The National Park Service (NPS) amends the special regulations for Assateague Island National Seashore to remove certain permit eligibility requirements for motor vehicles that drive on designated beaches and oversand routes.
