WASHINGTON, Aug. 22 -- National Park Service has issued a notice called: Notice of Intended Repatriation: University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, ND.
The notice was published in the Federal Register on Aug. 22 by Melanie O'Brien, Manager, National NAGPRA Program.
Summary: In accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), the University of North Dakota intends to repatriate certain cultural items that meet the definition of objects of cultural patrimony and that have a cultural affiliation with the Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations in this notice.
