WASHINGTON, July 15 -- National Park Service has issued a notice called: Notice of Intended Repatriation: University of California, Berkeley, Berkeley, CA.
The notice was published in the Federal Register on July 15 by Melanie O'Brien, Manager, National NAGPRA Program.
Summary: In accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), the University of California, Berkeley intends to repatriate a certain cultural item that meets the definition of a sacred object and that has a known lineal descendant.
