WASHINGTON, July 2 -- National Park Service has issued a notice called: Notice of Intended Repatriation: Joslyn Art Museum, Omaha, NE.

The notice was published in the Federal Register on July 2 by Melanie O'Brien, Manager, National NAGPRA Program.

Summary: In accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), the Joslyn Art Museum (JAM) intends to repatriate certain cultural items that meet the definition of sacred objects/objects of cultural patrimony and that have a cultural affiliation with the Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations in this notice.
