NATIONAL PARK SERVICE ISSUES NOTICE: NOTICE OF INTENDED REPATRIATION: GILCREASE MUSEUM, TULSA, OK

WASHINGTON, July 2 -- National Park Service has issued a notice called: Notice of Intended Repatriation: Gilcrease Museum, Tulsa, OK.

The notice was published in the Federal Register on July 2 by Melanie O'Brien, Manager, National NAGPRA Program.

Summary: In accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), Gilcrease Museum intends to repatriate certain cultural items that meet the definition of unassociated funerary objects and that have a cultural affiliation with the Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations in this notice.
