WASHINGTON, June 11 -- National Park Service has issued a notice called: Notice of Intended Repatriation: American Museum of Natural History, New York, NY.
The notice was published in the Federal Register on June 11 by Melanie O'Brien, Manager, National NAGPRA Program.
Summary: In accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), the American Museum of Natural History intends to repatriate certain cultural items that meet the definition of unassociated funerary objects that have a cultural affiliation with the Native Hawaiian organization in this notice.
