NATIONAL PARK SERVICE ISSUES NOTICE: NOTICE OF INTENDED DISPOSITION: U.S. DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE, NAVY, MARINE CORPS RECRUIT DEPOT PARRIS ISLAND, BEAUFORT, SC

WASHINGTON, Sept. 9 -- National Park Service has issued a notice called: Notice of Intended Disposition: U.S. Department of Defense, Navy, Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, Beaufort, SC.

The notice was published in the Federal Register on Sept. 9 by Melanie O'Brien, Manager, National NAGPRA Program.

Summary: In accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), the U.S. Department of Defense, Navy, Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island (MCRDPI) intends to carry out the disposition of human remains removed from Federal or Tribal lands to the lineal descendants or Indian Tribe with priority for disposition in this notice.
