NATIONAL OCEANIC AND ATMOSPHERIC ADMINISTRATION ISSUES PROPOSED RULE: FISHERIES OF THE NORTHEASTERN UNITED STATES; OMNIBUS MANAGEMENT FLEXIBILITY AMENDMENT TO NEW ENGLAND FISHERY MANAGEMENT COUNCIL FISHERY MANAGEMENT PLANS

WASHINGTON, July 8 -- National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has issued a proposed rule called: Fisheries of the Northeastern United States; Omnibus Management Flexibility Amendment to New England Fishery Management Council Fishery Management Plans.

The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on July 8 by Samuel D. Rauch III, Deputy Assistant Administrator for Regulatory Programs, National Marine Fisheries Service.

Summary: NMFS proposes to implement the Omnibus Management Flexibility Amendment to the New England Fishery Management Council (Council) Fishery Management Plans (FMPs) (Amendment), as prepared by the Council.
