NATIONAL OCEANIC AND ATMOSPHERIC ADMINISTRATION ISSUES NOTICE: NOTICE OF INTENT TO PREPARE AN ENVIRONMENTAL ANALYSIS ASSESSING POTENTIAL MODIFICATIONS TO THE ATLANTIC LARGE WHALE TAKE REDUCTION PLAN TO REDUCE MORTALITY AND SERIOUS INJURY OF LARGE WHALES IN COMMERCIAL TRAP/POT AND GILLNET FISHERIES ALONG THE U.S. EAST COAST

WASHINGTON, Aug. 17 -- National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has issued a notice called: Notice of Intent To Prepare an Environmental Analysis Assessing Potential Modifications to the Atlantic Large Whale Take Reduction Plan To Reduce Mortality and Serious Injury of Large Whales in Commercial Trap/Pot and Gillnet Fisheries Along the U.S. East Coast.

The notice was published in the Federal Register on Aug. 17 by Kimberly Damon-Randall, Director, Office of Protected Resources, National Marine Fisheries Service.
