Congressman John Moolenaar made the following statement in reaction to President Trump's announcement that the United States has Venezuela's illegitimate ruler, Nicolas Maduro, in custody.
"Today may be a new day in Venezuela. Nicolas Maduro was a dictator who contributed to narco-terrorism targeting Americans and subjected his people to unspeakable horrors. He must be held accountable for these atrocities. I am thankful to the men and women in the military for their bravery last night and pray for their continued safety."
