Oregon's U.S. Senators Jeff Merkley and Ron Wyden joined their Senate colleagues in demanding that the Trump Administration restore funding for the 223 energy projects canceled in October 2025. The Administration has since admitted to illegally canceling (https://www.nytimes.com/2026/07/24/business/trump-state-grants-canceled.html?smid=nytcore-ios-share) energy grants because those projects were in states that did not vote for President Trump in the 2024 election.
