TRENTON, N.J., Oct. 1 -- Mercer County issued the following news release:
Mercer County announced that it has opened the new bridge carrying Iron Bridge Road over Crosswicks Creek. Officially known as Bridge #670.4, the structure connects Hamilton Township in Mercer County to Chesterfield Township in Burlington County. The completion of the new bridge reopens this crossing after a two-year closure.
The former bridge on Iron Bridge Road was a century-old single-lane pony truss bridge, founded on a masonry substructure that dated to the 1860s.
