"Three years on from October 7th, 2023, it is important to distinguish what that day was, and what it was not.

"The deadliest attempted genocide of Jews since the Holocaust was not merely a new chapter in some intractable ethnic squabble.

"The invasion of peaceful homes to slaughter infants, rape women, and bludgeon elders was not the desperate act of noble freedom fighters.

"The hiding of hostages for over two years in dark tunnels, built for terror, was not the behavior of legitimate belligerents seeking peace.
