WASHINGTON, Jan. 28 -- Sen. Ben Ray Lujan issued the following press release:

This week, following the fatal shootings of two U.S. citizens in Minneapolis, U.S. Senator Ben Ray Lujan (D-N.M.) issued statements condemning the violence, opposing the Homeland Security funding bill without real accountability, and demanding the resignation or firing (https://nmpoliticalreport.com/2019/11/21/members-of-congress-pressure-white-house-to-fire-stephen-miller/) of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and Stephen Miller.

As a then-U.S. Representative, Lujan called for Miller's firing as far back as 2019. Senator Lujan opposed the confirmation of Secretary Noem and called on her to resign (https://www.lujan.senate.gov/newsroom/press-releases/icymi...
