Washington, May 12 -- Congresswoman Julia Letlow issued the following press release:

Congresswoman Julia Letlow has filed the No Delays in Disaster Relief Act to speed up relief for Louisianans affected by natural disasters.

The legislation directs the FEMA Administrator to appoint an Acting Regional Administrator-a key position responsible for approving disaster aid-in any case where a FEMA Regional Administrator position has been vacant for at least 90 days. The Acting Regional Administrator would then be empowered to ensure the timely disbursement of funds to states and localities.
