INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., July 21 -- The Indiana House of Representatives' Republican Caucus issued the following news release:

STATEHOUSE (July 21, 2026) - More than $1.7 million in state funding is headed to LaPorte County ($1 million) and Michigan City ($774,697) for local road and bridge projects, according to State Reps. Jim Pressel (R-Rolling Prairie) and Jake Teshka (R-North Liberty).

The Community Crossings Matching Grant Program, established through a 2016 law championed by House Republicans, offers funding to communities for road repairs, bridge maintenance, intersection upgrades and other infrastructure projects.
