INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., Aug. 21 -- The Indiana House of Representatives' Republican Caucus issued the following news release:
STATEHOUSE (Aug. 21, 2026) -Local lawmakers are encouraging Lake County residents affected by catastrophic storm damage in northwestern Indiana to seek assistance by applying for state emergency resources.
"My heart goes out to those still without power, suffering from lost homes and misplaced by the devastating storms this past week," said State Rep. Michael Aylesworth (R-Hebron). "I encourage everyone affected to apply for state emergency aid to help with immediate needs and as you continue the recovery process."
