JACKSON, Miss., Oct. 13 -- The Mississippi Development Authority issued the following news release:
Koinonia, a startup plastics manufacturer, is establishing manufacturing operations in Drew. The project represents a corporate investment of $7.7 million and will create 18 jobs over the next five years.
Koinonia will manufacture products that serve the region's agricultural chemical packaging industry, with plans for additional applications in the broader packaging space. The company is purchasing and rehabilitating an existing 40,000-square-foot facility in Sunflower County, installing new equipment and preparing approximately 150,000 square feet of surrounding concrete surface to accommodate future growth.
