Rep. Jen Kiggans (VA-02) sent a letter to Virginia District Manager Anthony Impronto of the United States Postal Service (USPS) in response to the recent publication of the USPS Office of Inspector General's (USPS OIG) Audit Report uncovering serious operational issues at the Suffolk Post Office. USPS OIG's findings included delayed mail pieces, improperly scanned packages, hazardous working conditions, and poor oversight over daily operations.
The report highlights that on the day of the inspection, USPS OIG identified 26,430 delayed mail pieces that were improperly reported to USPS management. Issues related to scanning packages were also uncovered. USPS OIG do...
